A good, reliable VOIP provider in Alberta, Canada? We are so fed-up with Telus that we look into a new phone provider. Unfortunately neither Shaw nor Rogers home phone are available in our rural area...yet! Who would recommend a good VOIP provider. We do not care about pricing but rather features and especially sound and call quality!! We'd like to use a provider where the calling experience is similar to a landline/ digital phone, with the least external noise and dropped calls or echo. Again, we don't care about the cheapest deal but the most reliable one. Who has experience with the Rogers Internet Phone Service?? Thanks! I probably should have mentioned that I DO have Shaw high speed internet. Internet and TV is provided by shaw, but not phone services. So I am looking for VoIP only
Where can I get a VoIP provider around Lunenburg, NS, with a local number? Hi, I am thinking about switching from a conventional phone provider over to a VoIP one, but am having problems trying to locate a local provider. I live near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. What I want is a local number, along with the ability to pay for whatever minutes I use a month. Where could I find a provider like this? Thanks, Derrick
VOIP Phone-- Which is a good & cheap Option? I am looking for a VOIP provider under $ 20 a month that can provide unlimited calls to US and Canada (from a phone example Vonage not computer example Skype). Best Voip Provider - to be used outside US? I am looking for a VOIP provider that allows its service to be used outside the US. Features that I am looking for - unlimited calling to US/Canada. I have my own voice adapter - Sipura SPA 2100.
Can DSL be used with out an active phone line? Okay, so before a bunch of you tell me I am stupid, I realize that DSL uses a phone line. But my question is, do I have to have active phone service on that line to have DSL? I want to use VOIP (because the rates to the US from Canada are less than great on my current provider) but I love the speed of my DSL (500 kbps) and obviously need some type of an internet connection. I have heard of "naked DSL" and "open DSL" as terms for this, but I always thought that I needed an active phone line to have DSL.
