Sunrocket Vonage Knowledge Base
Can I use sunrocket or vonage with a shared wifi connection? My neighbor and I share internet access. We thought it would be wiser to have just one of us subscribe to the 8mb per sec high speed internet access and split the bill in half. We set up a wireless network with an access point so we both use the same internet. My question is, can I use vonage or sunrocket with that setup? I don't have the DSL modem in my house. My neighbor has it. Do you actually need a dsl/cable modem for sunrocket or just internet access
How is the call quality of VoIP? What are the best providers? I am thinking about switching from Cox to a VoIP provider. I have had Vonage and Sunrocket. I loved Vonage, but then I heard about Sunrocket and it was cheaper, so I switched. Sunrocket was horrible, so I switched back to Vonage and it was really bad. I switched back to Cox and that is what I have right now. I am thinking about AT&T Callvantage, but they don't have an agreement to transfer numbers from Cox. Would it be worth it for me to transfer my number from Cox to Verizon and then to Callvantage or should I find another VoIP provider? If you think I should find another provider which one should I switch to? I live in Rhode Island.
To Sunrocket Customers only:? I need to switch since Sunrocket is shutting down so... who are you switching to? Vonage is letting me keep my main number however, is there any other VoIP out there?
Who is the best BroadBand service? Not Vonage...? So I have had vonage for over six months and I hate it. They have soooo many extra charges your bill is supposed to be $24.99 and it comes to $60-$70. Anybody else had these problems??? So who has the best service? Packet8, sunrocket, lingo.com who do u think is the best?
VOIP Phone-- Which is a good & cheap Option? I am looking for a VOIP provider under $ 20 a month that can provide unlimited calls to US and Canada (from a phone example Vonage not computer example Skype). I used to have Sunrocket but once they went down have not switched to anythign else. Please advise?
Can I ask the question differently? Let me ask it like this: Who has Vonage and who has Sunrocket and who has something else and who does what? Any complaints? Our love of Vonage lasted less than a week. If anybody knows about Sunrocket I would sure like to hear about it. Yes, I'm a saint, and I'm holy; but that doesn't cut any cheese with Vonage. We basically wasted our entire weekend trying to keep a dial tone. ...I never gave dial tones that much thought in normal times...
is it possible that one voip provider can block calls from another voip.? I have sunrocket voip provider. I get calls and can make calls to evry phone in the world except, i am not getting calls from VOnage VOIP subscribers. Those who have vonage, when they call my number all they here is busy signal all the time. I have motorola surfborad cabel modem and cablevision optimum online as my isp. any ideas how this can happen, who is responsible for this problem and what can they do to fix this ?
VoIP Suggestion? Ok, so I have been with Vonage for the past year or so but now it looks like they are about to go the way of SunRocket. I hope they make it through but all these lawsuits against them are making it look pretty grim. Anyways, I figured it might be time to change to a more stable VoIP service. What do you guys suggest? I have one friend who swears by Net2Phone and another that has been with Lingo for a while. Anyone here have experience with either one of these or is there another one you would suggest? Thanks.
Will Sunrocket be sued by Verizon? Vonage is sued by Verizon for patent infringement. Does Sunrocket have the similar issues with vonage or it is using different technology? What do you think?
Did you know ViaTalk is also booted by Better Business Bureau? I am a big fan of VoIP and VoIP communications. But when it comes to customer service issues, they area really losing the battle... In 2007, SunRocket went belly-up due to financial reasons. So, ViaTalk took over SunRockets drowning customer base. Now, I see that ViaTalk, as well as Vonage, have both been ejected from BBB accreditation list due to excessive unresolved complaints by customers. I have never used ViaTalk or Vonage, and thus have no personal opinion on their customer service record. What is your opinion on the state of the VoIP telecom industry? (Especially when it comes to customer service issues...)
