What steps should I take to swich from the defunct SunRocket? I want to switch to another VOIP provider after SunRocket went out of business. I want to keep my same phone number and get my money back. I am going to do a credit card charge back on SunRocket. Has anyone had any success getting money back or porting their number? What steps did you take?
What do you do when the phone company is not responding? I have sunrocket phone service? My gizmo is not working. the voip light is not lit and the run light is red. I emailed sunrocket but they have not responded. I tried calling them on my cell but they have a recording that says they are not taking customer service calls or sales orders. Then it hangs up. What should I do? Its only been a couple of days since my gizmo stopped working.
How do I network my existing house phones to my new VOIP system with SUNROCKET ? I have phones in 7 different locations in my house other than where the gizmo needs to be connected. Is there a way to network my existing phones without trading them for a bunch of satelite portable phones?
Can I use sunrocket or vonage with a shared wifi connection? My neighbor and I share internet access. We thought it would be wiser to have just one of us subscribe to the 8mb per sec high speed internet access and split the bill in half. We set up a wireless network with an access point so we both use the same internet. My question is, can I use vonage or sunrocket with that setup? I don't have the DSL modem in my house. My neighbor has it. Do you actually need a dsl/cable modem for sunrocket or just internet access

Why do I get so many dead calls with my broadband phone provider, Sunrocket? People call and can't get through. Seems to happen more with numbers unknown to the system...What's going on, should I go back to using a land phone or cellular phone as a primary line, and keep this for the inexpensive long-distance?
Is there any way to open the second port on my Sunrocket VOIP gizmo? The gizmo is the INNOMEDIA brand. It has two phone ports on back. When i plug into phone port 2 i just get a busy signal. Is it possible to "hack" this port into operation. I would like to have my second "signature" number ring into port 2. OR... is it possible to add a second gizmo and configure it to the siginature number????? Disclaimer: This is hypothetical situation and I am in no way trying to circumvent any terms of service or break any laws. This is just a usless quest for knowlege, not to be acted on. Do not try this at home. All drivers are professional stunt drivers on a closed circut track.
Do you have a subscription with SunRocket VOIP service? How does it compare with other VOIPs based on your own experience?
I need a new viop service to replace sunrocket. does any one know a cheap one? I want one wear i can get unlimited out and inbounds calls viop. for like 10 a month or some cheap plan. that covers tn calling area. if any one knows of viop service plans that are fairly reasonible let meknow thanks.

If I just recently paid Sunrocket for a year of service, should I wait, or move on? If I go and get phone service from a new company, does that erase any chance of me getting reimbursed for the money I paid Sunrocket? Or has that ship already sailed?

SunRocket customers that switched to ViaTalk? Any SunRocket customers that have switched to ViaTalk out there? I signed up for ViaTalk on July 17 but still haven't heard anything as far as getting my account set up. Calling ViaTalk, at different times during the day, I ranged from being caller#35 to caller#125 but waiting on hold it took about 3-5 minutes to move one slot on the wait list so I could never hold that long. How long did it take ViaTalk to get you set up? And, I sure hope the service is good. With Sunrocket closing suddenly, I had to make a quick decision on a new VOIP carrier. Do you like ViaTalk?

Does anybody else have Sunrocket VOIP? And is your service working, presently? Our service went out yesterday. A friend of mine (who also has sunrocket) says hers isn't working either.
SunRocket VoIP was working in UAE till Etisalat (local Telecom) blocked it. Is there any way to make it work? I had bought the service from USA and it was working fine. I was using the Gizmo (provided by SunRocket) that I plugged into the home network and had no problems till Etisalat (the UAE Telephone / Telecom company) blocked all VoIP communications inclduing Skype, Yahoo Messanger voice chat and MSN Messanger voice chat. I have called the customer service of SunRocket but to no avail. I am now looking for a tech solution to the problem. I do have the admin password for Gizmo box and can provide from email recieved from SunRocket Tech Support. Is there another way to make it work? The Gizmo is a small router / ATA adapter and not a software. If I add the proxy server settings in IE and Gizmo box hard coded IP (I understand that the IP for SunRocket is static and I would lose service if I change their address) will both my internet and Gizmo keep working. I still have to check if Gizmo has the option of adding a port with the IP address
Sunrocket customers - getting your money back? Have any sunrocket customers been able to get their money back? I was able to by contacting my credit card company. They prorated me for the months of service that I prepaid to sunrocket. Does Sunrocket (AR-211-SR) has a built in Firewall that I need to open its port to be able to play online game I have this PS3 and it's hooked to a router. In between the router and the cable modem is this Sunrocket device (VOIP). I open the port in my router but for some reason I keep getting the same error. Any ideas?
Will Sunrocket be sued by Verizon? Vonage is sued by Verizon for patent infringement. Does Sunrocket have the similar issues with vonage or it is using different technology? What do you think?

Sunrocket VOIP question. Please help.? I just received the Sunrocket package and installed everything successfully. There are 4 phones in my house. But when I receive incoming calls, it only goes through the phone which is connected to the gizmo. What do I need to get in order for the calls to go throughout my house. Thanks.
any info on VoIP and Sunrocket in particular???? Does VoIP take up a lot of your bandwidth? We have usually one to two computers online and then plus the VoIP, will this make everything slow? Sunrocket shutdown? My question is how many people are still up and running with their gizmo's the run led light thats been blinking red for the past few days is steady green now, and the reason for this is someone has bought legal rights for the downloads, but who? cause am still up and running and was never shut down. scammed by sunrocket? I feel I was scammed by Sunrocket.com which is a VOIP company. My phone line worked for only about 6 days, and now nothing works at all. I e-mailed them, called their number, and it said "we no longer take customer service phone calls". What can I do? I paid a whole year in advance.

Can I dispute a Transaction on my debit card? I took Sunrocket service for a year in March and paid thru my debit card . Now they are closing that company. How can I get my money back. My bank is saying that, since the transaction is older than 90 days they cant dispute that. Is there a way that I can get my money back?

Sunrocket Gismo & BSNL Broadband? I have a sunrocket gismo. I have all the lights on. Power, run, wan, voip and phone 1. (light colors are green, only wan is orange) I get a dial tone, but when I dial I get a busy signal. The telephone rings for incoming calls, but when I pick it up, it does not get connected.

Verizon customers...I have a question? So I just got notified my bill was ready. They say that I went over my minutes by 62 minutes, which comes out to be $30.00. I have never gone over minutes in the 10 years I have been a verizon customer. My question is, since verizon has free verizon to verizon calling, should they be charging me for those minutes? They way it was explained to me, & the way its always been is that verizon to verizon is free. The stupid lady in customer service was a real biotch & said that I went over & thats the end of the story. I was just curious what the free verizon to verizon is...HElp please!!! Verizon DSL or just DSL problem in general ? I had Verizon DSL for 11 months and very UNHAPPY with it. My browser would not connect to the internet at least twice to 4 times a day, I would have to turn the Verizon provided wireless router off and turn it back on for it to work. I asked Verizon for a different wireless router and the same thing still happens. So now it is a rountine for me to turn the wireless router off and back on few times a day. I called Verizon technician and they told me it is normal. Is this Normal?? ? Is this what people with DSL have to go through every day or just Verizon DSL service ? My 1 year contract is up with them next month so I think I'm going to swith to Time Warner high speed internet. I will probably go with the cheapest package which is Road Runner Standard 4M x 512K* or 6M x 384K* which I dont even know which one to pick or if it is fast compare to Verizon 765k package I have. I'm just so tired of running down stairs to turn the wireless router off/on. Thanks for any advice !
Verizon Wireless Easypay prepaid plan.? I have Verizon Wireless right now, and I have one of the prepaid plans, but it charges me 99 cents a day whether I use my phone or even just check my voicemail which gets expensive. Cause half of my minutes end up disappearing and I never use them cause the dumb daily access fee. So I saw another prepaid plan Verizon has and it's $50 and that's for 350 anytime minutes, 3,000 night and weekend minutes. Plus I'll pay an extra $5 for 250 text messages. I was also looking at virgin mobile and for $35.99 you get 300 anytime minutes and 1,000 night/weekend minutes but I love Verizon, so I don't really want to switch, plus Verizon seems like the better deal. Does $55 seem good for how many minutes you would get considering it's prepaid? I can't get a plan cause my credit sucks. Verizon, Cingular and Virgin Mobile are the only providers that offer night/weekend minutes which is what my main concern is, but Cingular is the same deal as Verizon's Inpulse, they charge $1 a day. Thoughts?
Verizon Dsl-Move or cancel?? I have Verizon DSL with 1-yr contract sicne Nov. 2006. Now my parents are getting a new house so we have to move to the other side of the city. The new subdivision has Ntelos(another phone company), not Verizon. I'm satisfied with Verizon so far and I was wondering if I can still transfer my current service to the new place. (No text messaging, tho) I don't get how IN-Calling or Weekends& Night works! I mean, is it 100% free? (Even if it's a verizon-user, who has a different area-code # than you? Is it still free?) And for Weekends& Nights, is it STILL free if you call a different-long-distance #, which isn't a Verizon #???) And do they charge extra for long-distance calling (to a number that isn't Verizon?) Verizon or T-Mobile? for Verizon, I'd pick the LG VX-9450, the upcoming phone that will feaeature Vcast TV. For T-Mobile, I'd pick a razr with a music player and 2mp camera with myfaves. (razr v3t). The reason that I'm spit between the two is that Verizon has the best mobile enterainment, but Tmobile has the best messaging plans. Any word on pricing for VCast TV? I know that T-Mobile's text messaging plans leave Verizon bleeding on the ground, but Verizon's media packages leave T-Mobile scarred. verizon wireless text messaging upgrade? I currently have the $10, unlimited verizon to verizon, 500 other text plan. I want to upgrade to either the unlimited or about 5000 other text plus unlimited verizon to verizon. If you can then please give me your source, online or otherwise. Thanks in advance P.S. Verizon Rip-OFF? Like many i have a verizon cell phone. when i went there a little over a year ago i paid for the package. the salesperson said i have 900 per month minutes and texts and incoming calls are unliminited. I have an online account and just pay when its due. This month i looked at the paper bill and had a monumental bill for incoming call minutes. i called verizon and they said it was unlimited for verizon to verizon only. Nobody ever said that to me when i got the phone and further more on the bill my plan just says incoming calls unlimited NOT incoming calls from other verizon customers unlimited. Did anyone else have this problem. they are really a bunch of sneaks and try to get you any way they can...I say lets file a class action suit if you had this problem. Is someone supposed to know IN calling and In coming as a difference? Its seems to be the same meaning to me. So, even if they said all IN Calling is unlimited you should just assume?
Verizon Wireless question? We had a contract for our wireless service with Verizon and I wanted to upgrade our phones. I went to what I thought was a Verizon store. Well 2 fast talking salesmen told me if I wanted to upgrade my phones I would have to sign a new contract. They also told me I would not be able to keep the numbers we have had for years.They said our new service would only be $10 more a month (all lies) Turns out they just sell contracts to verizon for a commission. They copied my drivers licence and debit/credit card. My husband was upset when I got home with the new phones saying he wanted to keep his old number. So we had our old numbers tranfered back. A month went by and neither one of our phones were working right. My husband went down to the verizon store and he was told they were old discontinued phones and worse yet we now had 2 contracts. Verizon cancelled the other contract that day. Now 60 days later they got into our checking acct. and withdrew $400. I want to know if that's illeg When we went to return the phones they would not accept them.
Verizon Warranty Useless? About 18 months ago, I did the Verizon 2 phone plan. I pay $5.99 per month for each phone to have "TOTAL EQUIPMENT COVERAGE" Verizon describes this as: "Keep your phone and accessories covered from malfunctions, loss, theft and accidental damage by combining the benefits of our Wireless Phone Protection with a discounted Verizon Wireless Extended Warranty program." After about 15 months, both phones started having problems recharging. 1st the car chargers stopped working. Then, the home charger - may or may not work - each time you try to charge can be a frusterating experience. When I went to Verizon for the "warranty service" they told me I needed to buy new phones. They say the warranty only covers items for 12 months. I have complained to Verizon 3 times. One sales rep stated they had had a lot of problems with the Motorola phones but now they are better because the design has been changed to address this problem. Any suggestions?
Cellphones...Verizon Chocolate or AT&T iPhone? Im lost really I am. Does Verizon ever reduce or waive an early termination fee for cell phone service? I have a couple of months remaining on my contract with Verizon. I'm anxious to move to another provider and get a phone that Verizon does not support. According to my contract, Verizon will charge a $175 cancellation fee. I wonder if there's any room for negotiation. If other peoples' experience is "no, no way", then I won't bother with the hassle of trying and being rejected. But if other people report that Verizon is sometimes willing to reduce or waive the early termination fee, then it may be worth the trouble to talk to them and try. Has anyone had any luck with reducing Verizon's early termination fee? Thanks.
verizon or t-mobile? i can't decide between verizon and t-mobile verizon seems to have better phones, but t-mobile has better plans and ESPECIALLY TXT MESSAGING PLANS!!! for verizon i'd get the lg vx5200 and for t-mobile prolly the samsung t509s... which service is better (including plan, phones, etc...?) verizon seems to have better reception but it seems to be ok for tmobile in my town.... help?

I hate verizon!!! please help!!!? okay i got a verizon treo 600 from my cousin. i have been having alot of problems with it, so i took it to a store that sells verizon phones and they couldnt get it to work. they told me to call verizon. so i did and i talk to about 6 different ppl and a "treo specialist" for about 3 hours and know one could get my phone to work. then the "specialist" told me he was going to send me a replacement treo. and i was like thats great! this was two weeks ago. so i called up verizon to see what was going on. i was then informed that they could not send me a replacement phone bc i didnt purchase it from verizon myself!?!hold up! how can they do that!!!! they say they are going to send me a phone and they never do and they dont even notify me that they were going to send me a phone!!! i am so angry!!! the "specialist" is suppose to be calling me(seems very unlikely) but does anyone know what i should do? i think it was very unfair how they handle the situation. i cant afford to buy a new phone
whats with Verizon suing Vonage over the same service that Verizon offers? verizon is suing VIOP service provider vonage for some patent infrignement stuff. Why? They are the same things. Phillips and Sony created the dvd, and now there are many brands making and selling the same thing. Jvc created the VHS tape and now there are a whole bunch of companies selling VHS tapes. so why is verizon suing vonage over the same thing. vonage is just providing the service along with verizon. its like verizon patenting the telephone and suing anyone else that tries to sell their own brand of telephone.
Verizon to Verizon free minute problem ? I know that a verizon cell to a verizon cell call is free. Is that ALL the time though ? Because if it is, I call my friend who has a verizon cell phone also, but it seems to be counting the minutes. I have 700 minutes free, but it seems to keep dwindling in numbers. I found a verizon cell phone look up service that seems to be good at http://www.reversephonelookupeasy.blogspot.com but I need to look up a few verizon cell numbers, most sites only let you look up one number at a time. I need a verizon cell phone look up service that will let me do it like with 4 numbers at a time, any suggestions? Thanks
verizon texting plans? For the verizon plan with unlimited texting [verizon to verizon] & 5000 texts outside of verizon for $20 a month... if we have 4 phones on one plan, is it just one price for all phones or is the $20 for each of those 4 phones??? THANKS A BUNCH!
My Yahoo/Verizon email is inactive. Yahoo offers a xfer to Yahoo email.Will it transfer all my folders? Moved to no Verizon area. Verizon messed up keeping my account active until I had a new email that I could transfer all my info to. Yahoo offers ability to transfer email/contacts/personal info to a Yahoo account but I'm not sure it will also transfer all the emails in my Verizon folders, therfore I am wary of doing the transfer. I have made arrangements to temporarily reactivate the Verizon account but at a cost of $45. If the free Yahoo account transfers all the data from the Verizon account it would be free, ssaving me $45.
verizon wireless question? i got a krzr about a month ago. and verizon has that 30 day contract thing where if you dont like the phone you can come back in between that 30 day period and switch it for something else. my 30 days is up it was at the middle of june or so. i really do not like my krzr and would like the new envi phone from verizon. my krzr is from verizon to. but if i ordered the envi phone from the internet and got it mailed to me can i go to the verizon store and get my number changed to that? because usually they say NO you cant until your next contract is up. and i dont want to order the phone if i cant even use it.

Verizon DSL oerding page wont let me choose a package? On Verizon.com every time i try to get Verizon DSL it always says Verizon DSL is aveable in your area so then i fill out the information to order the DSL package and then press order but for some reason it says "Please pick a package" but no where on the page does it show where to pick out the package does any one know why i cant continue order the Verizon DSL but it says im able to get it.I even refreshed the page and tryed doing it over and over but it still doesnt show me where to pick the package.
are calls from verizon pay-as-you-go phones free to other verizon phones? i have alot of friends with verizon, but unfortunately i have cingular. do verizon pay as you go phones let you talk to other verizon phones without charging those minutes? because i dont want to get a verizon pay as you go phone and then be charged for talking to verizon people on it
Verizon screwing you too? Is it just me or does it seem to you that Verizon won't resolve any of the customer service issues that this megacorporation creates? My old V710 gave up on me months ago. Verizon pushed me off to the insurance company, which didn't accept the claim. They sent me in circles with the local Verizon dealer, who they knew couldn't do anything either. I had a positive balance due to a refund I received from them. They charged me late fees after removing the credit and claimed they sent a check for my balance. No check ever arrived. Now, a payment was made through their automated phone payment system. The system reported that it couldn't accept the payment because the system was down. Verizon was called and a payment was given to a live operateor. Both charges were applied (the account was double billed) and after an hour of going in circles with their impotent and incapable customer service, I hung up with the clear understanding that I could go f* myself. Does the verizon dsl software or any other software need to be installed on a second computer? Ok, here's the situation. My cousin has a computer that was given to him. He already had a connection running from the router in the kitchen to his room, with his roommate's pc in the kitchen right beside the router. Not sure if this an actual network as they are not connected by a server. But anyway, they have Verizon DSL. He had the Verizon dsl software installed on his old computer, but the cd(s) ended up getting lost. Well, we got the new computer hooked up to the dsl connection in the apartment (typing on it right now) without using the Verizon DSL software cd(s), and he also has Avast anti-virus installed on his computer. But does he actually need to install any Verizon dsl software or any other software for the modem/router the connection is coming through? And if so, is there any way of getting the software short of calling Verizon or the router manufacturer for more cd's? Thanks to anyone who can help.
Verizon DSL Modem Help? I have verizon dsl and I need to get the modem for it. Can I buy a modem from radioshack or any electronic store which can work for Verizon DSL. If so, which modems and what store. I don't want to buy the modem from Verizon because it takes a 1 to 2 weeks for it to come. Need help with Verizon DSL.? I just got the Verizon DSL i have the kit and modem and DSL filters all set up but for some reason every time i put the install the verizon dsl software on my computer it says "Connecting to Verizon DSl" some thing like that and then it doesn't let me connect to the internet,Verizon even sent me a email saying my DSL has been activated and my computer is even picking up the signal from my wireless modem but it just wont let me connect to the verizon server.I have 2 computers and it wont let me connect from any of them i also have anti virus software and my firewall is turned off.Also every time i try to call Verizon Support they hang up on me for some reason so im clueless of how to get this to work.
How can I change an Verizon NID to Cox NID phone connection to a total Verizon NID connection? I am a person who likes to switch their telecommunications services a lot and now have 3 NIB boxes on the side of my house. I have recently just signed up for Verizon Naked High Speed DSL and AT&T Callvantage. I called Verizon and they told me that I need to get my Verizon NIB connected to the phone jack where I want Verizon DSL. I have a slight dilemma seeing as I don't use the Verizon NID for anything right now except to connect the Cox NIB to the inside phone wiring. Since I already have a Verizon NIB I thought there must be an easier way to connect it to my inside wiring. I just want to know how I can connect my Verizon DSL without having to pay $200.00. Thanks in Advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not have a dial tone with Cox anymore only AT&T Callvantage which runs over the internet. Since I don't have a dial tone on any of my phone jacks, it is okay if I install Verizon on every phone jack in the house. In fact, I would prefer it that way.
Verizon coverage? My mother has Verizon and she goes to Canada a lot (we live in Michigan) and she gets great reception in Canada, but when I looked up the coverage area on the Verizon site, they say that there is no coverage in Canada. I'm wondering if this is really true because if she gets good reception in Canada then doesn't that mean that Verizon has coverage there? I'm asking because I'm switching over to Verizon this week and I spend time in Canada also. I've tried Virgin Mobile, Tracfone and T-Mobile over there and their was no reception at all.
Verizon Wireless help!? this is off the charts... who has issues with verizon? i went to check what was up with the bill why it was so high. and they said it was because of me txting so much. i asked them what happened to my unlimited txting and they said it was only for verizon to verizon, and that they don't have unlimited txting to other companys.... verizon phone??????? so my sister just bought an unlocked verizon LG VX 6100, and usually with GSM netoworks all you have to do is put in the SIM card to lock it. But verizon isnt a GSM, so how would she lock it? ++she doesn't have verizon yet she's right now trying to switch out from cingular (they screwd her over) so can she bring her unlocked phone to a verizon store and they'll lock it for her + give her a plan??
