  1. Have you tried google??? You will find some basic info on VoIP that will answer your question. You could probably even find resources in your native language! Nevertheless, VoIP is a technique that involves digitizing audio and relaying the data over the public Internet, rather than over telephone lines. The reason it is cheap/free to use is because using VoIP to make a phone call is analogous to using your PC to download a file. It shouldn't cost anything beyond what you already pay to use the public internet.
  2. VOIP uses the internet rather than your BT exchange. So even if the destination of the call is a landline the VOIP provider doesnt need to pay BT for use of 2 exchanges only 1. Skype is the most famous VOIP company then there is Vonage even tesco are in on tha act.
  3. as said, VoIP goes through the internet.... however, u need a good connection(especially upload bandwidth at least 30kb/s) for good quality sound, otherwise ur other party will hear jumbled noises/lag.... nowadays.... there are some phones with built-in VoIP, when u get in a WiFi hotspot, u can switch to the WiFi while making calls instead of the network
  4. Voip is the best software for people like me that love to be on the phone . hahahha And i do advice you to go check the www.voipbuster.com because is the best of all of then. you can even call USA and other country's for free even if the other person doesn't have a voip phone, that's mean that u can call from VOIP to the land line and some time to a mobile for free.
