VOIP PHONES...Cisco 7940 or Avaya 5610?
pros/cons of each? Reliability?

- Cisco is going to probably cost you more, but it has better support and design. Cisco has a better track record and has set the standard in networking technology. Since VOIP phones are so network dependant it would be an advantage to stay with the best.
