Voip Comparison

VOIP to regular phone?

is it possible to use a VOIP phone service to call regular phones that aren't VOIP? If so, where can I get such a service, or what kind of legal "hacking" can I do?

  1. i use yahoo phone. it is like 1 cent a minute anywhere in the world.
  2. I know you can do this with Skype, there's a small charge for the call, but not as much as a normal landline to international line. Couldn't tell you for local calls as I don't use it for that.
  3. Yes it is possible, Every service does it and there are different prices for each service. Yahoo & Skype are two of the more popular ones. I got a phone number to call in and out on SKype for $60 a year that is unlimited US and Canada. Other countries can be as low as 0.5 cents a minute and you can buy a phone number is someother countries that allows you to make and receive local calls from that country even if you are in the US.
  4. Yes, there are several VoIP companies out there that sell VoIP phones. I use Globalinx and the website to shop from is www.hiagt.com. Let me know if you need more info.
