  1. dont have a clue but it should
  2. Ok, First, there is a difference between Skype and SIP. Skype is the only program that uses their format. Skype is also a peer to peer sharing program. In otherwords, when you are not making a call with Skype, other users are making calls through your computer. SIP does not do that. As for phones, Since Skype is a proprietary format, and commercially the largest VoIP provider they have made deals with companies who will show contacts on their phones. SIP phones do not have that ability. No "normal" phone will show your VoIP (Skype or SIP) contacts. I have a Skype ID and 2 SIP accounts. I rarely use Skype and only on my computer. For SIP, I use my computer, an ATA (phone adapter) with a standard cordless phone, and my Nokia 770 Internet tablet to make calls. You can also get SIP based WiFi phones that will use SIP and some MAY show contacts. If you have any more questions about VoIP, send me an email through my profile and I will try and help.
  3. If you want to make crystal clear calls using voip, you should consider signing up to Vonage. The set up is really simple, just plug your normal touch tone phone into your Vonage adapter, which plugs into your existing broadband modem - and away you go. You can find out more at www.vonage.co.uk.
