Leaving vonage need advice on packet8?

I think I may leave VONAGE. Reasons: 1. they made a statement friday they have no "workaround" for the patent infringments. 2. When they loose the appeal ( since the appeal was to give them time for the work around, now they admit they can not do) Vonage can no longer get new customers. With no new customers the business will dry up and the quality will also. And then the CEO of vonage leaves. I like VONAGE the quality is great. I have no complaints (other then all my friends got to dial long distance to call me.. it is a long distance call to call my next door neighbor on VONAGE unless I pay them $5 a month for some extra stuff. I use VONAGE as my house line and our business line so we got to make sure we have a phone. So if we leave we are debating going to PACKET8 anyone dealt with them?

  1. I have Packet8 for over 2 years, now....and love it!!! All there tech support is in California...I never have to wait on the line...I had tested that before I sign up....it impressed me so much that I choose P8! I have 12 family members all using P8...I pay yearly so its cheaper! As far as I know P8 holds 11 patent on VoIP technology!! Chances are if you had good reception you will have no problem with another VoIP provider....75 % depends on the ISP!
  2. I had packet 8 for many years. The sound quality is bad and the customer service is even worse. Go with a land line or another voip carrier.
