Can I use a modem over a VOIP phone connection?

I have Sunrocket VOIP for my home phone. I'd like to connect to the internet using a modem for some trouble shooting stuff. Is this possible with VOIP?

1. Yes is impossible to do it.
2. Of course, but I dont know why you would want to. A dial up modem is so outdated unless it is all that is available in your area. Some people have no option when it comes to internet connection. VOIP requires a high speed ISP? I would not recommend trying to connect through a modem on a VOIP line.
